Prologue...

Hi, my name is Kira Nicole Lopez, but people just call me Nikki, not the fact that, that is my middle name, but no but my family knows my first name. Not even my best friend Misuto knows about my first name. I'm seventeen years old and I go to Jonathan Middleton Highschool for the talented and gifted. I know what you're thinking, but it isn't for smart people, even thought most of us, including myself are quite bright. It's for people who like acting, singing, making art, dancing, playing an instrument, and even being a computer genious, kinda like our own personal super hackers for the school. I'm a singer, that's because the rest of the stuff at the school I don't do. I'm no good at art so no. Dancing I'm ok at and acting I'm great at but I get too nervous on stage or just in front of others to do, so no. I'm not enough of a computer genious to be a hacker, so no...once again. And finally playing an instrument, the last and only time I've played an instrument was in 5th grade when I played a recorder...definately not!!! Although we've chosen our majors in talent as I described to you, we still have regular classes, so our school days are longer than other normal highschool students. I chose singing because when I sing it's like I'm in my own world. No one can hurt me, and I'm not embarrased, not one bit. I sing to make others happy, that's my goal in life, to keep others smiling, always smiling.  My best friend, Misuto whom I spoke about in the beginning is Phillipino and Japenese. Misuto in Japenese means Mist, so I call her Misty. She's turning eighteen soon so she's going to have a big birthday party at her house while her parents are away, but I haven't been invited yet. Misty suits her because she suddenly appears and disappears out of nowhere, just like mist. There one minute, gone the next, sometimes I wonder where she goes off to when she disappears. She's a double-major in both art and dance, her art is amazing, you'd think she is a professional, and her dancing is even more breath-taking, stunning, just fabulous. My best guy friend is Nick, he's majoring in being a musician, he plays the guitar. He's sixteen turning seventeen in a couple of months, he skipped a grade because he's such a brainiac, but he didn't want to be a hacker for some reason. He's really kind and caring and has always protected me no matter what for some reason. I have a younger brother in middle school named Zack who's thirteen years old. He's gay and has a boyfriend. Zack has light blue eyes and dark black hair, so he's a real catch for a thriteen years old boy. His boyfriends name is David and is fourteen years old. He has blond hair and emerald eyes, he's always been kind to Zack and I think he's perfect for my little brother. My mothers name is Kristine Torres, she's thirty-six years old and has long dark brown curly hair. She's a amazing artist, and an even greater mother. She's not very affectionate, but I know she loves both me and my brother. My fathers name is Juan Lopez, he's fourty-five years old and very affectionate. He's never yelled at me or hit me for any reason, I wish I could say the same for my mother. (Laugh) He's always supported me no matter what my decision. (Smile) Anyway, so I have a normal family, that loves me and doesn't judge me and trusts me. <3 I'm a freshman at my new school and so far it's ok...lets see if I can meet some new people, or even...fall in love!!! :p <3
